Video Bill: Lords second reading, committee and report stages
19 January 2010 (updated on 22 April 2010)
Members of the House of Lords discussed the second reading and the committee and report stages of the Video Recordings Bill on 18 January.
The Video Recordings Bill is a short Bill and is being fast-tracked through Parliament to rectify a procedural error made during the passage of the 1984 Video Recordings Act which, when the latest Bill is passed, will make the age-rated classification and supply controls contained in that Act enforceable in UK courts.

- Lords Hansard: committee and report stages on the Video Recordings Bill - formal, no debate
The Bill will also allow the 1984 Act to be amended by the Digital Economy Bill (currently at committee stage in the House of Lords).
The third reading of the Bill is scheduled to take place on 20 January.
