Committee examines UK Financial Investments

The Environmental Audit Committee holds a one-off evidence session at 10.10am to examine what scope exists for UK Financial Investments to support the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The Environmental Audit Committee will examine what scope exists for UK Financial Investments to support the transition to a low-carbon economy within the rules that govern what it does, what could be done if these rules were changed and what would need to happen to make this possible.
UK Financial Investments was set up on Novermber 3 2008 to manage the Government's investments in UK Financial Institutions including Royal Bank of Scotland, Lloyds Banking Group, Northerrn Rock, and Bradford and Bingley.
