This session will cover the foundations of the education system as established by the Education Reform Act 1988 and subsequent legislation: the National Curriculum, National Curriculum testing, and accountability through Ofsted.
The starting point for discussion will be the Committee’s recent reports on Testing and Assessment, the National Curriculum, and School Accountability.
A further evidence session will be held on Wednesday 10 March at 9.30am.
