Lords Constitution Committee to question Lord Jay

Lord Jay of Ewelme, Chairman of the House of Lords Appointments Commission, is making an appearance before the House of Lords Constitution. Listen live from 11am.

In the first of what is hoped to be an annual session, the Committee will question Lord Jay on the Appointments Commission and its work.

In particular, the Committee will ask Lord Jay about subjects including;

  • the role of the Appointments Commission
  • the appointment of cross-bench peers
  • the vetting of Political Appointees
  • the role of the House of Lords
