The House of Lords European Union Sub-Committee on Home Affairs takes evidence at 10.40am from Meg Hillier MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Home Office, on the home affairs aspects of the Stockholm Programme

The focus of EU work in the area of home affairs is determined in a five-year programme. The previous programme, the Hague Programme, expired in 2009. The Stockholm Programme defines the framework for EU police and customs cooperation, rescue services, criminal and civil law cooperation, asylum, migration and visa policy for the period 2010–2014.
