Financial Services Bill completes committee stage in Lords

On Wednesday 7 April the Financial Services Bill progressed through the committee stage in the House of Lords.
The committee stage allows Members to conduct a detailed examination of the Bill, considering any amendments to the text of the proposed legislation.
The Financial Services Bill relates to the powers and duties of the Financial Services Authority and associated bodies, and provides measures to improve the position of customers of the financial services sector.
The Bill will proceed through the report and third reading stages in the Lords on 8 April.
