Voters across the UK are waiting to hear who is named as their local MP and who will be in Government during the next Parliament

After several weeks of frantic campaigning by candidates, voters are waiting to hear how their choice at the ballot box will change the political landscape.

Results, which determine who will be representing you in the next Parliament and who will occupy Number 10 Downing Street, will be expected through the night and into Friday.

As well as picking MPs for Westminster, voters have been electing councillors in 164 local authorities across England.
