Speaker writes to party leaders about select committee chairs

The Speaker, John Bercow, has written to the leaders of each party represented in the House of Commons detailing the indicative proportions of chairs of select committees to be elected under Standing Order No 122 B falling to each party

The proportion is allocated to reflect the composition of the House.
The letter begins the process for the election of chairs for selected committees related to government departments as well as certain other committees as laid down by the Standing Order agreed on 4 March 2010.
