Four Commons committees to hold public evidence sessions

The Defence, Public Accounts, Scottish Affairs and Justice committees will hold public evidence sessions on Wednesday 21 July.

Defence Committee

The Defence Committee will take evidence on the Strategic Defence and Security Review, Defence Acquisition Reform, and UK operations in Afghanistan from;

at 3pm in the Grimmond Room, Portcullis House

Scottish Affairs Committee

The Scottish Affairs Committee will hold an introductory evidence session with the Scotland Office with;

  • Rt Hon Michael Moore MP, Secretary of State
  • Rt Hon David Mundell MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State
  • Alisdair McIntosh, Director, Scotland Office

at 3pm in committee room 8 of the House of Commons

Public Accounts Committee

The Public Accounts Committee will take evidence on support to incapacity benefits claimants through Pathways to Work with;

  • Steve Marsland, Executive Director, A4e
  • Chris Melvin, Chief Executive, Reed in Partnership
  • Sir Leigh Lewis KCB, Permanent Secretary, Department for Work and Pensions
  • Adam Sharples, Employment Group Director, Department for Work and Pensions

at 3:30pm in committee room 15 of the House of Commons

Justice Committee

The Justice Committee will take evidence on the work of the Ministry of Justice from;
