Downing Street has announced former MP Michael Ancram will be joining the House of Lords as a life Peer.
Michael Ancram will join the House of Lords at a later date; his title will also be decided at a later date.
Michael Ancram is currently Chairman of Global Strategy Forum, a think tank on international affairs; Chairman of the Gulf Policy Forum; and Honorary President of Kennet and Avon Canal Trust.
