Budget Responsibility and National Audit Bill

The House of Lords continued its line by line examination of the Budget Responsibility and National Audit Bill during the second day of committee stage on Wednesday 1 December.
Lord Peston (Labour) opened the debate and Lord Sassoon responded on behalf of the government.
Members discussed amendments to schedule 1: Office for Budget Responsibility; and clause 4: Main duty of Office.
The committee stage of the Budget Responsibility and National Audit Bill will continue on Monday 6 December when further amendments will be discussed.
