Parliamentary business in the House of Lords resumes on Monday 10 January 2011, following the Christmas recess.

In addition to Oral Questions, Members of the Lords will continue to debate the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill on the seventh day of its committee stage. There will also be a question for short debate on the Government’s response to the recommendation in the report of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Parkinson’s disease.
On Tuesday 11 January the Public Bodies Bill will continue its committee stage in the House of Lords.

The Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill provides for the next General Election to be held under the ‘alternative vote’ system, provided this change is endorsed in a referendum on 5 May 2011 and boundary changes have been made to reduce the size of the House of Commons to 600 seats.
