Publication of complaints
9 December 2010 (updated on 9 December 2010)
On Thursday 2 December 2010 the House of Commons agreed that details of complaints which had been considered and those which are currently under investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards should be published.
Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards
The House of Commons agreed on 2 December that the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards should publish details of complaints which he had considered and not upheld, and of complaints which he had resolved through the rectification procedure since April 2008.
It was also agreed that he would publish information about complaints he had received since the beginning of 2010-11, and about matters which he is currently investigating. This was in accordance with a proposal from the Commissioner himself, which was supported by the Committee on Standards and Privileges.
The Commissioner has published these details, which will be updated each month:
- His letters resolving complaints which he has not upheld, together with the relevant evidence
- His decisions rectifying complaints, together with the relevant evidence
- A list of the matters currently under inquiry
- Statistics showing the number of complaints received and considered since 1 April 2010
