House of Commons rises for Easter recess

The House of Commons was adjourned on Tuesday 5 April for the Easter recess. The Commons will return on Tuesday 26 April.
Backbench business adjournment debate
The House of Commons held a backbench business adjournment debate on the Easter recess. MPs were able to raise subjects which the Department of Work and Pensions is responsible for and which received a reply from a Government Minister.
A general debate then followed where MPs were able to raise national or constituency issues. The Deputy Leader of the House of Commons responded on behalf of the Government.

Recess
