Who's got 'The Peer Factor'?

The competition closes at 5pm on Friday 13 May.

There’s a chance to win a £100 cash prize and an all-expenses paid trip to the House of Lords.

Individual students or groups of students can enter the competition by submitting a short film, podcast, essay, collage, newspaper or magazine article. Lesson plans, a worksheet, together with links to background material and other resources are available to help plan and develop competition entries.

To enter, just register your details or your group’s details – such as your school, youth club or community association.

Commenting on the competition, the Lord Speaker, Baroness Hayman said:

"This competition is a great opportunity for young people to make their case for who they think should be in the House of Lords, and demonstrate their understanding that this House works to ensure new laws are effective, and that the government explains its policies and takes account of different views.

"I hope many young people get involved and I look forward to seeing all the nominations for Members who could help the House see through important work."
