Statement on benefits uprating

Minister of State for Work and Pensions, Steve Webb, made a statement in the House of Commons on Tuesday 6 December on benfits uprating.
Benefits uprating
The Minister of State announced the uprating of social security pensions and benefits for the financial year 2012-13. Further information about the changes can be found on the Department for Work and Pensions website.

The statement follows the Autumn Statement delivered by Chancellor of the Exchequer on 28 November 2011 which announced the rates of tax credits for 2012-13. A debate on the economy also took place on Tuesday 6 December.
