MPs debate Local Government Finance Report

Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles, moved a debate in the House of Commons on Wednesday 9 February to approve the Local Government Finance Report for 2011/12.

The report was approved by a vote, 292 to 197.

Local Government Finance Report (England) 2011/12

The Local Government Finance Report sets out the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government determination for the financial year 2011/12 the amount of grant allocated to each receiving local authority in England.

The Local Government Finance Act 1988 states that the Secretary of State shall determine the grant to local authorities and prepare a report to be laid before the House of Commons.
