Public Bill Committee stages, have your say

Calls for evidence have been issued by Public Bill Committees examining the Localism Bill, the Health and Social Care Bill and the Education Bill.
All three Bills have passed their second readings in the House of Commons and have been sent to Public Bill Committees for scrutiny.
If you have relevant expertise and experience or a special interest in any of these Bills, you can submit your views in writing to the House of Commons Public Bill Committees considering each Bill.
Localism Bill
The Localism Bill will devolve greater powers to councils and neighbourhoods and give local communities more control over housing and planning decisions.
The deadline for submissions is Thursday 10 March.
Health and Social Care Bill
The Bill proposes to create an independent NHS Board, promote patient choice, and to reduce NHS administration costs.
The deadline for submissions is Thursday 31 March.
Education Bill
The Education Bill seeks to implement the legislative proposals in the Department for Education’s schools White Paper, 'The Importance of Teaching' and measures from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills relating to skills and the reform of higher education funding.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 5 April.
Public Bill Committees
Public Bill Committees are appointed for Bills that goes through Parliament.
Depending on its complexity, the consideration of a Bill can take a few minutes to a few months.
Each Public Bill Committee is named after the Bill it considers and is assigned a chair. Public Bill Committees have the power to take written and oral evidence from officials and experts outside of Parliament.
Public Bill Committees examine each Bill clause by clause and once it has finished looking at the Bill, it reports its findings to the Commons, where MPs debate the Bill further.
