Debbie Abrahams new MP for Oldham East and Saddleworth

Debbie Abrahams of the Labour Party has become Member of Parliament for Oldham East and Saddleworth after winning the by-election held in that Constituency on Thursday 13 January 2011.
Oldham's was the first by-election held since the general election and formation of a coalition government in May 2010. There were 10 candidates on the ballot paper.
The by-election was called after the result of the vote in May was declared void.
