The global risk register was the topic under discussion between Members of the House of Lords and senior journalists in the most recent River Room seminar.

Lord Malloch-Brown, former Foreign & Commonwealth Office Minister, and Lord Rees of Ludlow, former Astronomer Royal, gave short introductory speeches. Debate then opened up to the floor on the range and nature of the risks to global security – political, economic, environmental, resource – in the second decade of the 21st Century and the responses which need to be made.
