House of Commons rises for Summer recess

The House of Commons adjourned on Wednesday 20 July for the Summer recess. The Commons will return on Monday 5 September.
Backbench business adjournment debate
The House of Commons held a backbench business adjournment debate on Tuesday 19 July on matters to be raised before the Summer recess.
MPs raised issues relating to Business, Innovation and Skills, the Department of Health, the Department for Communities and Local Government, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Home Department, which received a response from the relevant Government Minister. This was followed by a debate on general matters.
