Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill Committee announce programme

The Committee will hear oral evidence on Tuesday 12 July and Thursday 14 July and then consider the Bill every Tuesday and Thursday, excluding the recess, from that point concluding on Thursday 13 October

The second reading of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill took place in the House of Commons on Wednesday 29 of June.

If the proposed programme is accepted by the Committee on Tuesday morning, the Committee must complete consideration of the Bill no later than 5.00 pm on Thursday 13 October.

These sessions will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms.

It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. Timings and room numbers are subject to change.
