Statement on the Metropolitan Police Service

Home Secretary, Theresa May, made a statement in the House of Commons on Monday 18 July on the Metropolitan police investigation into phone-hacking and the resignations of Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir Paul Stephenson and Assistant Commissioner, John Yates.
Shadow Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, responded to the statement on behalf of the opposition.
