Richard Graham, Conservative MP for Gloucester, moved a Backbench Business debate in Westminster Hall on Thursday 9 June on the subject of apprenticeships and small businesses.

Backbench Business Committee

The House of Commons established the Backbench Business Committee on 15 June 2010. The Committee has responsibility for scheduling debates that are devoted to backbench business in the House of Commons Chamber and Westminster Hall.

Debates

Debates are an opportunity for MPs to discuss government policy, proposed new laws and current issues. It allows MPs to voice the concerns and interests of their constituents.
