MPs debate congenital cardiac services for children

Stuart Andrew, Conservative MP for Pudsey, introduced a Backbench Business debate in the House of Commons on Thursday 23 June on congenital cardiac services for children
The debate coincides with a review led by the Joint Committee of Primary Care Trusts into the reconfiguration of children’s heart surgery in England which comes to an end shortly.
Simon Burns, Minister of State for the Department of Health responded to the debate on behalf of the Government.

Backbench Business Committee
The House of Commons established the Backbench Business Committee on 15 June 2010. The Committee has responsibility for scheduling debates that are devoted to backbench business in the House of Commons Chamber and Westminster Hall.
