Statement on regulatory and banking reform

Financial Secretary to the Treasury, Mark Hoban, made a statement in the House of Commons on Thursday 15 June on the publication of a White Paper on financial regulation and a draft Bill.

Financial Regulation White Paper and draft Bill
HM Tresaury have published a White Paper on Financial Regulation which includes draft legislation. The White Paper and consultation can be found on HM Treasury website.
Oral statements
Oral statements are made after Question Time (or at 11am on a Friday). Statements normally relate to matters of policy or government actions. At the end of a statement, MPs can respond or question the government minister on its contents.
