Dan Jarvis new MP for Barnsley Central

Dan Jarvis of the Labour Party has become Member of Parliament for Barnsley Central after winning the by-election held in that Constituency on Thursday 3 March 2011.
Barnsley Central was the second by-election held since the 2010 General Election. There were 9 candidates on the ballot paper.
The by-election was called after the former MP, Eric Illsley, resigned his seat.
