Statement on creation of a Green Investment Bank

Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable, made a statement to the House of Commons on Tuesday 24 May on Government plans to establish a 'Green' Investment Bank.
The plans involved creating a bank dedicated to the greening of the economy through investment in such green enegry enterprises as transport, waste infrastructure, decarbonised electricity and low-emission cars.
Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, John Denham, repsonded on behalf of the Opposition.
