The official state portrait of Speaker John Bercow was unveiled on 27 November 2011 as the latest addition to the Parliamentary Art Collection.

The portrait, by British artist Brendan Kelly, joins the collection of paintings of Speakers of the House of Commons, which goes back to Sir Thomas More, and will remain the property of Parliament.

It will hang alongside other recent Speaker portraits including those of Baroness Boothroyd and Lord Martin of Springburn. As is traditional, the framed painting also incorporates the Speaker’s coat of arms.
