Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander, made a statement to the House of Commons on Wednesday 2 November 2011 on progress in the reform of public service pensions.
Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Rachel Reeves, responded to the statement on behalf of the Opposition.

Independent Public Service Pensions Commission: Final Report
In 2010, the Chancellor of the Exchequer invited John Hutton to chair the independent Public Service Pensions Commission. The Commission undertook a fundamental structural review of public service pension provision and published Lord Hutton’s final recommendations on 10 March 2011.
