Youth Parliament to sit in House of Commons

Young people from all over the UK are set to fill the House of Commons Chamber on Friday 4 November 2011 and debate the issues that matter to them.
Members of the UK Youth Parliament will sit in the Commons chamber from 11am and debate a range of issues voted on by over 65,000 of their peers.
Bullying, tuition fees on agenda
Issues will include the cost and accessibility of public transport, bullying in schools and tuition fees.
The debate will be chaired by Rt Hon John Bercow, Speaker of the House of Commons, following opening remarks by Sir George Young, Leader of the House of Commons.
UKYP campaign to be decided
Following the each of the five debates the Youth Parliament will call on government ministers to give a response.
One debate issue will also be chosen to be the top campaign for the Youth Parliament in the upcoming year.
For the very first time the debate will be shown live on BBC Parliament from 11.05am and schools across the country are invited to watch.
