David Amess, Conservative MP for Southend West, moved a motion to adjourn the House of Commons on Wednesday 7 September on the subject of the future of the BBC.

Watch and read the views of MPs who took part in the debate on Parliament TV and in Commons Hansard. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport, Edward Vaizey, responded on behalf of the Government.
