National Planning Policy Framework
The Department for Communities and Local Government determines national policies on different aspects of planning and the rules that govern the operation of the system. The House debated the National Planning Policy Framework on the floor of the House on 21 October 2011.
National planning policies are set out in new-style Planning Policy Statements, which are gradually replacing Planning Policy Guidance notes.
