In response to the restrictions on water usage to begin on Thursday 5 April, the Jubilee Fountain in New Palace Yard has been switched off.

In addition, hosepipes and similar apparatus will not be used on the parliamentary estate for the period of the water restrictions in line with the requirements of the Temporary Use Ban.

In order to  carry out required technical checks to complete its refurbishment, the fountain will exceptionally operate for a period  of no more than one hour on the morning of Wednesday 11 April. This operation of the fountain is in line with the requirements of the Temporary Use Ban and has been approved by Thames Water.
