Leveson Inquiry

Following evidence published by the Leveson Inquiry into press ethics, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport explained to MPs his role in adjudicating News Corporation's bid to takeover BSkyB last year.

The evidence published by the Leveson Inquiry consited of emails between the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and News Corporation while the Secretary of State was ruling on whether the bid should go ahead.
