Lords back to work on 27 February

The House of Lords resumes holding the government to account on draft laws and public policy issues from Monday 27 February. The Health and Social Care Bill, Scotland Bill, international women's day, governance of the BBC and Lords reform are on the agenda
Health and Social Care Bill
Members will continue line by line scrutiny on Monday 27 and Wednesday 29 February as the Health and Social Care Bill moves through report stage.

Scotland Bill
Currently in committee stage, the Scotland Bill is scheduled for its third day of line by line examination by the House of Lords on Tuesday 28 February.

House of Lords Reform Bill
Members completed report stage of the House of Lords Bill on Friday 10 February. The Private Members' Bill, introduced by Lord Steel of Aikwood (Liberal Democrat), moves to its third reading on Thursday 1 March.

Committee work
The Joint Committee on the draft House of Lords Reform Bill will take evidence from Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg (Liberal Democrat) and MP Mark Harper (Conservative) on Monday 27 February.
On Wednesday 29 February the Lords Agriculture, Fisheries and Environment will take evidence from EU Commission officials Gustaaf Borchardt and Peter Gammeltoft.
Debates
Members of the House will debate International Women's Day and its contribution to economic growth at 11.30am on Thursday 1 March.
From 2pm on Thursday 1 March the House will debate the Lords Communications Committee's report on the governance and regulation of the BBC.
