Financial Secretary to the Treasury, Mark Hoban, made a statement in the House of Commons on Thursday 14 June on banking reform.

Banking reform

The Government has published a White Paper on banking reform along with a consultation on its proposals for implementing the recommendations of the Independent Commission on Banking. Further information on the consultation and a copy of the White Paper can be found on the HM Treasury website.

Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, Ed Balls, responded to the statement on behalf of the Opposition.
