Statement on rail reform

Secretary of State for Transport, Justine Greening, made a statement in the House of Commons on Thursday 8 March on the publication of the Government's vision for the railways.
Reforming the rail network
The Transport Secretary announced the publication of a Government paper entitled "Reforming our Railways: Putting the Customer First". The Command Paper can be found on the Department for Transport website.

The Government have also launched a consultation on Rail decentralisation: devolving decision-making on passenger rail services in England. Further information on the consultation and how to respond can be found on the Department for Transport website.
