Prime Minister, David Cameron, made a statement in the House of Commons on 5 March 2012 on the European Council meeting held on 1-2 March 2012
European Council
The Prime Minister outlined the decisions taken by the European Council including the measures needed to address the growth crisis in Europe and to complete the single market, and the Council's conclusions on Somalia, Serbia and Syria.
The Leader of the Opposition, Edward Miliband, responded to the statement on behalf of the Opposition.

Treaty on Stability, Co-ordination and Governance
The Prime Minister's statement follows the emergency debate in the House of Commons on 29 February 2012 on the Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance in the Economic and Monetary Union (TSCG), also known as the "fiscal compact".
