MPs held the third day of debate on the Queen's Speech on Monday 14 May 2012, which was on the subject of Business and the Economy

Debate on the Address: Day 3

Following the first day of general debate on the Queen's Speech, there are five days of debate on specific topics. On the third day of debate MPs discussed business and the economy. MPs will debate foreign affairs and international development on Tuesday 15 May, the cost of living on Wednesday 16 May and jobs and growth on Thursday 17 May.

Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable moved the debate on behalf of the government. Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Chuka Umunna repsonded on behalf of the Opposition.
