MPs held the fifth a day of debate on the Queen's Speech on Wednesday 16 May 2012, which was on the subject of the cost of living.

Debate on the Address: Day 5

Following the first day of general debate on the Queen's Speech, there are five days of debate on specific topics. On the fifth day of debate MPs discussed the cost of living. MPs will debate the jobs and growth on Thursday 17 May.

Shadow Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Caroline Flint moved the debate on behalf of the Opposition. Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Edward Davey, responded on behalf of the Government.
