MPs held the second day of debate on the Queen's Speech on Thursday 10 May 2012, which was on the subject of home affairs and justice
Debate on the Address: Day 2
Following the first day of general debate on the Queen's Speech, there are five days of debate on specific topics. On the second day of debate MPs discussed Home Affairs and Justice. MPs will debate business and economy on Monday 14 May, foreign affairs and international development on Tuesday 15 May, the cost of living on Wednesday 16 May and jobs and growth on Thursday 17 May.
Secretary of State for the Home Department, Theresa May moved the debate on behalf of the government. Shadow Secretary of State for the Home Department repsonded on behalf of the Opposition.
