Mental Health (Discrimination) (No. 2) Bill

A Bill to reduce the stigma and negative perceptions associated with mental illness.

The Mental Health (Discrimination) (No. 2) Bill has now moved to the House of Lords for consideration.

Prisons (Property) Bill

A Bill to make provision for the destruction of certain property found in prisons and similar institutions.

The Prisons (Property) Bill has now moved to the House of Lords for consideration.

Marine Navigation (No. 2) Bill

A Bill to make provision in relation to marine navigation and harbours.

The Marine Navigation (No. 2) Bill has now moved to the House of Lords for consideration.

Presumption of Death Bill

A Bill to make provision in relation to the presumed death of missing persons.

The Presumption of Death Bill has now moved to the House of Lords for consideration.

Mobile Homes Bill

A Bill aimed at improving the rights of mobile home owners.

The Mobile Homes Bill has now moved to the House of Lords for consideration.

Private Members' Bills

Private Members' Bills are Public Bills introduced by MPs and Lords who are not government ministers.

As with other Public Bills, their purpose is to change the law as it applies to the general population.

A minority of Private Members' Bills become law but, by creating publicity around an issue, they may affect legislation indirectly.
