Growth and Infrastructure Bill Committee announce programme

The Growth and Infrastructure Bill Committee will hear oral evidence on Tuesday 13 November and on Tuesday 20 November.

The Committee will then consider the Bill every Tuesday and Thursday from that point concluding on Thursday 6 December.

Line by line scrutiny of the Bill

Line by line scrutiny of the Bill will take place in Committee Room 9 in the Palace of Westminster on:

  • Thursday 22 November 11.30am and 2pm
  • Tuesday 27 November 8.55am and 2pm
  • Thursday 29 November 11.30am and 2pm
  • Tuesday 4 December 8.55am and 2pm
  • Thursday 6 December 11.30am and 2pm

The Committee must complete consideration of the Bill no later than 5pm on Thursday 6 December 2012.

These sessions will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms.

It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. Timings and room numbers are subject to change.

Summary of the Bill

To make provision in connection with facilitating or controlling the following, namely, the provision or use of infrastructure, the carrying-out of development, and the compulsory acquisition of land; to make provision about when rating lists are to be compiled; to make provision about the rights of employees of companies who agree to be employee owners; and for connected purposes.
