Sarah Champion of the Labour Party has become Member of Parliament for Rotherham after winning the by-election held in that constituency on 29 November 2012

The by-election in Rotherham was called after the former MP, Denis MacShane, was appointed to the office of Steward and Bailiff of the Three Hundreds of Chiltern - the means by which an MP disqualifies themselves in order to resign - on 5 November 2012.
