Standards and privileges committee second report

Leader of the House of Commons, Andrew Lansley moved a motion relating to the Second Report from the Committee of Standards and Privileges into the conduct of Denis MacShane, former MP for Rotheram, on Tuesday 6 November 2012.

The Leader of the House of Commons, Andrew Lansley, moved that the House:

  1. approves the Second Report from the Committee on Standards and Privileges (House of Commons Paper No. 635);
  2. endorses the recommendation in paragraph 62; and
  3. notes that Mr Denis MacShane has been disqualified as a Member of this House.

Standards and Privileges Committee

The Committee considers reports from the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, oversees his work and recommends any changes to the Code of Conduct or to the rules relating to the conduct of MPs, and inquires into matters relating to privilege that have been referred to it by the House.
