Parliament to hold Public Bill Workshop in Hull

Are you interested in finding out how you can have your say on a proposed law that is progressing through Parliament?
The Houses of Parliament is to provide a free workshop in Hull on Friday 10 May 2013 for groups, organisations and individuals interested in how to engage with Parliament’s scrutiny of legislation.
The workshop is of relevance to businesses, charities and community groups, people who work for local authorities and anyone with an interest in Parliament’s work
What the Public Bill Workshop will look at
- How Parliament scrutinises Bills (proposed laws)
- Engaging with MPs and members of the House of Lords as they consider Bills
- Submitting evidence to a Public Bill Committee in the House of Commons
- Using sources of key information, such as the Parliament website, and House of Commons Library
- Tracking the progress of Bills online
