Offshore Gambling Bill
This Bill seeks to amend the Gambling Act 2005 to regulate remote gambling on a point of consumption basis; requiring all operators selling into the British market to hold a Gambling Commission licence.
The Second Reading stage of this Bill commenced on Friday 25 January 2013 but was adjourned. The debate on this Bill is scheduled to be resumed on 1 March 2013.

Rescheduled Private Members' Bills
The Second Reading stages of the following Bills have been rescheduled:
Micro Businesses and Energy Contract Roll-Over Bill
This Bill seeks to require the Secretary of State to make provision to limit energy contract roll-over for micro businesses to 30 days.
The Second Reading stage of this Bill has been scheduled for Friday 1 March 2013.
Local Services (Planning) Bill
This Bill seeks to enable local planning authorities to require the granting of planning permission prior to the demolition or change of use of premises, and to require the granting of planning permission if premises or land will be used for a supermarket.
The Second Reading stage of this Bill has been scheduled for Friday 1 March 2013.
Land Value Tax Bill
This Bill seeks for the Secretary of State to commission a programme of research into the merits of replacing the Council Tax and Non-domestic rates in England with an annual levy on the unimproved value of all land, including transitional arrangements; and to report to Parliament within 12 months of completion of the research.
The Second Reading stage of this Bill has been scheduled for Friday 1 March 2013.
House of Lords (Cessation of Membership) Bill [Lords]
This Bill, which started in the House of Lords, seeks to make provision for Peers to cease to be Members of the House of Lords by way of retirement or in the event of non-attendance or criminal conviction.
The Second Reading stage of this Bill has been scheduled for Friday 1 February 2013.
Private Members' Bills
Private Members' Bills are Public Bills introduced by MPs and Lords who are not government ministers.
As with other Public Bills, their purpose is to change the law as it applies to the general population.
A minority of Private Members' Bills become law but, by creating publicity around an issue, they may affect legislation indirectly.
