31 July 2013
The Lord Speaker, Baroness D'Souza, opened a four-day conference for parliamentary reporters from the Parliaments and Assemblies across Great Britain and Ireland yesterday (Tuesday 30 July).
The conference began with a reception held in the River Room at which the Lord Speaker gave a brief welcome speech to all delegates attending.

Delegates will also enjoy tours of the Palace of Westminster and of Dickens’ London – Charles Dickens was a reporter in the House of Commons in the 1830s.
