The Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper, gave an address to members of both Houses of Parliament on Thursday 13 June in the Queen’s Robing Room, as part of his visit to the UK.

Heads of government on an official visit usually address members of both Houses as part of their formal programme. The subject matter is not predetermined, however the focus is often on current global issues.

Commons Speaker, John Bercow MP, gave a welcome address introducing Prime Minister Harper's speech.

The Lord Speaker, Baroness D’Souza, thanked Prime Minister Harper following his speech.
